Frogbit has green heart-shaped leaves up to 2 inches in diameter; they resemble miniature water lily and floats on top of the water surface. Their fleshy, heart-shaped leaves are thick and leathery, growing in a 2-8" rosette. When the growth becomes crowded, the leaves will extend above the water surface. Usually they generally lay flat on the water.
Frogbit have small white flowers that bloom in the summer, and like all floating plants, Frogbit create good shade and added filtration from their many roots. The roots provide good surface area for fish and shrimp to hide in, it is an easy plant to care for and maintain.
