Neolamprologus Multifasciatus: is known to be the smallest african cichlids. This shell-dwelling cichlid is endemic to Lake Tanganyika, it is a light tan in color sometime more on the light gray in color.  This fish has multiple vertical darker stripes. They are similar to the neolamprolpogus similis, but are smaller land lighter in color,  Multifasciatus grows to (1.25") and Similis grows to (1.75"-2"). The vertical stripes are not present in the multifasciatus head but are present in the Similis.  All shell dweller cichlids like nice round snail shells where they can hide and breed.  With multiple shell laid out throughout the aquarium, this fish will feel safe and will be interesting to watch. Over time they will breed, form nice small colonies and take care of their young. This fish will do well in aquarium of 10 gallons and up.  It is a hard water species that will need a ph of 7.5 and up, temp of 78-80 would be optimal

USPS Priority Arriving Time Orders : 5 to 7 processing business days, fish in bag 1 to 3 days; USPS orders coming in on Monday and Tuesdays will be shipped the following week

FedEx 2Day Arriving Time Orders : 4 to 5 processing business days, fish in bag 2 days ; FedEx 2Day orders coming in on Tuesdays and Wednesday will be shipped the following week

FedEx Standard Overnight Arriving Time Orders : 3-4 processing business day, fish in bag 1 day. FedEx Standard Overnight orders coming in on Wednesday and Thursday will be shipped the following week


All the fish orders will be shipped after 2-3 days after your purchase. 

We  purge all the fish for at least 48 hrs before shipping.  

We currently do not ship when the weather is below 40 F or above 95 F during the day in the customer area.  

We recommend using USPS hold for pick up when the weather is getting cold lows in the 40 F at night.

The coldest or hottest time for the shipment is in the truck on the final leg of the trip.

We do use 72 hours heat packs when necessary. 

We also use cold packs when necessary. 

We do use O2 on all shipments.            

BioAquatix reserve the right to determine when is the best day to ship your product 

when the weather and possible other factors are in play.  

No guarantee live arrival when using USPS priority. 

We do replace the live fish, but customer will pay shipping again. 

We only guarantee live arrival on FedEx overnight.
