Ludwigia Palustris is a dark green plant, with stems growing up to 18 inches long in aquariums. The leaves are in pairs oppositely arranged and appear green, red or purple in color. It can grow submersed or emmersed in an aquarium.

Medium to strong light levels are recommended to achieve the highest color results. In nano tanks and bioBowls an LED grow light or regular 3 Watt LED light works well. CO2 and fertilizers are not always required but can enhance the growth and coloration.

Since these plants can grow quite tall it is suggested to use them in the background of a tank or bowl.
