Cardinal Plant (Lobelia Cardinalis) is fairly easy to grow. Lighting should be moderate to strong. Higher lighting levels will result in more dense, lusher growth. The plant will grow up to around 12 inches high and about 4 inches wide, and can grow emmersed or submerged. When it grows up out of the water it can produce beautiful scarlet flowers.

 
It's a relatively short growing plant so it is best suited for displaying in the foreground of an aquarium. It doesn't take up a lot of space which makes it great for nano tanks and bioBowls.
