The Cardinal tetra is a very popular fish aquarium fish native to South America, growing to about 3-4 cm (1.5 in) total length. It is a peaceful schooling fish and prefers to be in a group than by themselves, we recommend a minimum group of 3 for small nano tanks of 2 to 5 gallon aquarium.
