The Cardinal tetra is a very popular fish aquarium fish native to South America, growing to about 3-4 cm (1.5 in) total length. It is a peaceful schooling fish and prefers to be in a group than by themselves, we recommend a minimum group of 3 for small nano tanks of 2 to 5 gallon aquarium. In the aquarium this tetra shows awesome reflective and vibrant red and metallic blue colors. bioAquatiX Cardinals are usually more robust than what is found in the aquarium trade since they are born and raised in tanks in Florida and grown in hard alkaline water
