Lepidiolamprologus Nkambay Kendalli, in a predatory fish from lake Tanganika, will grow up to 6 inches, male gets little larger than the females.
These tank-raised F1 fish are very hardy and adaptable, they will do well in water conditions, Ph (7-8), hard alkaline water and temperature of 75-85 F.  They will require a larger aquarium, 55 gallons and up as they grow larger.  Many hiding places are required, not only to help bring out their best coloration, but will also provide structure and shelter, this fish like to dig and reorganize substrate in the aquarium.   It also has the ability to jump when startled, so a secure aquarium lid is necessary.
