Neolamprologus Brichardi is graceful looking, peaceful and easy to care for cichlid. This fish does not get large, up to 3”. The fish has an elongated bodied with bright white edging on the dorsal fin and lyre tail. Has blue spangling and black mask on its head. It is a African cichlids native from lake Tanganyika. The males and females are similar, male get a little larger. These are captive bred and will accept a variety of foods.
This is a fish that's considered a good beginner's cichlid. However, like other cichlids it will become territorial, especially toward con-specifics, during spawning. Will do well in some planted aquarium, but will forage and dig through the substrate trying to make a burrow. This fish should be kept with other similar fish, such as small tanganikan cichlids, synodontis, rainbow fish, and small plecos. They do well in pH: 7.5-8.5, temp: 78-84, medium to hard water.
